IronPort Systems has appointed Ray Kafity as its new regional sales manager for the Middle East region.

Kafity will be responsible for developing and growing IronPort's Middle East business strategies designed to address the evolving email and Web security market and better serve its regional customers, and partners.

'Ray Kafity, who brings to IronPort more than 30 years of corporate experience in the technology market, will take a leadership role in developing IronPort's success in the Middle-East, building on the success of our company in other regions,' said director Southern Europe, Middle-East & Africa at IronPort Systems, Frédéric Benichou.

'I welcome Ray as a key addition to our fast-growing 'Southern Europe, Middle-East & Africa' team, with offices in Paris, Madrid, Milano and now Dubai.'

Kafity, a specialist in the field of IT security, data acceleration and caching technologies for business continuity, held several senior posts in leading companies in Dubai and Bahrain including Blue Coat Systems, Lucent InterNetworking Systems, Iridium Middle East Corporation and Newbridge Networks. He holds a Master degree of Science in Electronic Engineering from Virginia Institute of Technology and a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida.Trade Arabia News Service
