Huawei Technologies has been awarded Vodafone's Outstanding Performance Award at Vodafone's second annual Global Supplier Conference.
Vodafone presented supplier performance awards to three of its key suppliers. Huawei won the award in recognition of its delivery of highly competitive products and services to Vodafone across the group's network as well as in recognition of its spirit of strategic partnership with the operator, said an official spokesman.
Vodafone measures supplier performance regularly as supplier performance management and the delivery of continuous improvement is a key component of Vodafone's supply chain strategy.
'As a strategic partner, we are delighted to have been awarded the Outstanding Performance Award by Vodafone. The award recognises Huawei's commitment to providing industry-leading products and solutions, rapid response as well as outstanding delivery,' said president of Huawei Europe William Xu.
'Huawei is focused on customer-oriented innovation to create solutions, products and services that provide long-term value for our customers to help them realise their potential,' he added.
'Huawei received this award for consistently showing a deep understanding of our business needs,' said Vodafone's Global Supply Chain Management Director Detlef Schultz. 'The award also recognises Huawei's determination to help Vodafone achieve its strategic objectives.'
Huawei has a global framework agreement with Vodafone, delivering high quality products and services to Vodafone across the group including network equipment and handsets.
