DUBAI, November 25, 2018

Dubai Customs was the first customs department in the world to take part in National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (Nasa) 3rd Cross Industry Innovation Summit which took place at the Space Center Huston, in the US, earlier this month.

A number of the best technology experts, scientists, executive directors, and entrepreneurs from different countries participated in the summit to connect, discuss common challenges, benchmark innovations, discuss analogies along various industry lines, and then explore solutions and identify new strategies through future technology collaboration, said a statement.

Hussam Juma, director, Business Innovation Department presented Dubai Customs in the summit and talked about the service innovation system in the department, the innovation journey of Dubai Customs and its future vision.

This included the current projects which will revolutionise customs business by incorporating modern technologies such as artificial intelligence and block chain towards turning Dubai Customs into a world leader in innovation.

Juma explained Dubai Customs role in improving customs services to maximize revenues, minimise cost and boost efficiency towards a full integration with the smart government system.

“All of this progress wouldn’t have taken place without Dubai Customs continual support to innovation and empowerment of innovators” Juma added. – TradeArabia News Service
