Top global officials to attend EU-Arab World Summit

DUBAI, September 25, 2018

Heads of states, senior European Union officials, ministers, scholars, business leaders, and other distinguished representatives from over 30 countries have confirmed attendance at the 3rd EU-Arab World Summit: Shared Horizons, to be held next month, in Greece.

The event will take place on October 29 and 30, in Athens at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron, Vass. Sophias & Kokkali, Athens/Greece).

The summit is being organised by Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group and Symeon G Tsomokos in association with Delphi Economic Forum. It features Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) as a strategic sponsor.

With cross-cutting issues as part of the agenda, the summit has already become an institution, which brings together a broad spectrum of policy makers and pioneers from across the globe, said a statement from the organisers.

Following the huge success of the first two summits, this year the meeting enjoys increased participation of European and Arab high-ranking guests accompanied by trailblazer businessmen who look forward to putting in motion a constructive dialogue, seizing opportunities, and strengthening economic bonds, it said.

Politics, economy, energy, migration, inter-regional cooperation, and culture will be an integral part of the programme. Fostering interaction between two rapidly changing worlds, the meeting aims at developing proposals on how to respond to the challenges facing both EU and the Arab world and exploring the opportunities that emerge, it added.

The summit will be held under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos, the endorsement of the Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras and the support of the Greek Government.

Moreover, it will take place under the patronage of the European Parliament; in cooperation with the Arab League; with the cooperation of the Union of Arab Chambers and the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry; with the support of the European Commission, the Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Development, and the Swiss Arab Network.

This year the EU-GCC Clean Energy Technology Network is a programming partner, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
