Ritchie Bros clocks sale of over 19,000 equipment lots in 2024

Ritchie Bros., the world’s largest industrial auctioneer and leading marketplace for used heavy equipment, ended the year on a successful note with over 19,000 equipment lots being sold across diverse industries, including the construction, agriculture, transportation, and mining, thus marking a 25% year-over-year growth.
Through its 'Finish Strong, Start Stronger' campaign, Ritchie Bros., attracted more than 22,700 registrants across auctions in Europe, the UAE, and APAC region, a testimony to its international appeal.
This year-end initiative was designed to help equipment owners optimize their strategies and maximise the value of their assets while offering buyers access to high-quality equipment across a wide range of industries, said Ritchie Bros. in its statement.
Showcasing Ritchie Bros.' unparalleled sales solutions and extensive international reach, the campaign delivered record-breaking participation and significant equipment sales through 11 unreserved auctions in key markets worldwide.
According to Ritchie Bros., its global auctions held through out the year generated good response with more than 1,000 lots of mini hydraulic excavators being snapped up during the 12-month period.
At these auctions, over 500 units of hydraulic excavators (Crawler) got sold in addition to 480 lots of agricultural tractors; 680 lots of boom lifts and over 370 lots of wheel loaders.
The top 5 buyer countries for 2024 were Australia, Spain, Italy, France and Germany, thus reflecting the company’s global reach and robust buyer network, it stated.

Ritchie Bros. Dubai closed the final quarter of 2024 with a successful auction held this month, marking another strong performance for the region and showcasing consistent growth.
With more than 1,300 lots sold and 63 countries represented, the auction saw impressive demand from both local and international buyers.
