Infiniti Engineering Academy calls for applications
DUBAI, September 23, 2018
Infiniti Engineering Academy, the leading automobile manufacturer’s global search for the best and brightest engineering talent, has announced that October 5 will be the deadline for submission of regional applications.
Now in its fifth successive year, the academy will offer one engineering student currently enrolled in a UAE university the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work on both automotive and Formula One technologies, said a statement from the company.
To date, more than 400 students from Middle Eastern countries have already applied, and Infiniti encourages others to submit their applications by the approaching deadline, it said.
The initiative seeks to enhance the skills of young students looking to go into the automotive engineering sector. It provides a unique opportunity for students to gain experience in both the automotive and motorsport industries, with six months placement at the Infiniti Technical Centre Europe and six months at Renault Sport Formula One, it added.
Engineering students from the region can apply via academy.infiniti.com. As part of the application, participants will be asked to complete an online engineering test, designed by puzzle and brainteaser experts Brilliant.org, said the company statement.
A total of 10 finalists will then be selected to participate in a regional final to identify the winning student. This final will take place over two days ahead of the Abu Dhabi Formula One TM Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, the first day at the Infiniti dealership of Al Masaood Automobiles in Abu Dhabi, the second day on the Yas Marina circuit.
The UAE winner will join another six young engineers from other participating regions to work at the Renault Sport Formula One Team Technical Centre in Enstone and the Infiniti European Engineering Center in Cranfield, UK.
The offer includes travel expenses, accommodation, access to an Infiniti company car, a competitive salary and the possibility to work alongside world-leading engineers at the cutting edge of the automotive and motorsport industries, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
