ACC names new chief marketing officer

NEW DELHI, August 20, 2018

ACC Limited, a member of LafargeHolcim Group and one of India’s leading manufacturers of cement and ready mix concrete, has appointed Ashish Prasad as its new chief marketing officer and head of new products and services.

Based in Mumbai, Prasad will be a member of the company’s executive committee and spearhead the brand building and marketing efforts for ACC's cement and concrete businesses.

He will be responsible for growing the portfolio through the introduction of new products and solutions, as well as the design and implementation of new services to strengthen ACC’s presence as a complete solution provider in the building materials space.

Lauding the appointment, Managing Director and CEO Neeraj Akhoury said: "I am delighted to welcome Prasad to the ACC family and the leadership team. He has worked with leading Indian and international companies, playing a pivotal role in building and shaping brands across categories, as well as having P&L responsibility for a variety of businesses."

"With his rich knowledge and experience, we are confident that Ashish will propel brand ACC to greater heights," he added.

A science graduate from Delhi University and holder of a management degree from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, Prasad brings over two decades of experience in brand management, sales, strategy and business development.

An accomplished industry leader, he had played key roles at Indian and international companies including Pidilite Industries Limited, Aditya Birla Group, Asian Paints and the Coca-Cola Company.

In his last role as the chief operating officer of the Construction Chemicals business at Pidilite Industries, he was responsible for the growth of Dr. Fixit and Roff brands.-TradeArabia News Service
