Alba highlights Line 6 Project’s impact on global market

MANAMA, June 6, 2018

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the Bahrain-based aluminium smelter, highlighted its Line 6 Expansion Project and its expected impact following completion during its participation at the ongoing Harbor’s 11th Aluminium Summit, being held in the US.

The three-day event which is taking place in Chicago, US, concludes tomorrow (June 7), said a statement from Alba.

As a keynote speaker on the ‘Strategic Market Topics’ panel, Alba’s chief executive officer Tim Murray spoke about the company’s mega Line 6 Expansion Project, and highlighted its impact on the global aluminium industry as well as Bahrain and its economy, it stated.

Murray dubbed the summit as one of the premier industry conferences. "We look forward to the networking and sharing of market knowledge to better prepare us for the coming of Line 6 with its commissioning in January 2019 and which, upon completion, will make us the largest smelter in the world," he added.

Alba’s director of marketing Boris Santosi; manager sales and marketing - Americas Patrick Hudson; manager financial accounting and controlling Ahmed Abdul Qader; and manager investor relations and corporate secretary Eline Hilal were also present at the summit this year, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
