Hewson speaking at a previous event

Lockheed Martin CEO to speak at top aerospace summit

ABU DHABI, March 13, 2018

Lockheed Martin's chairman, president, and chief executive officer Marillyn Hewson will speak at the Global Aerospace Summit 2018 on how the aerospace and defence industry serves as a catalyst for global security, international cooperation, and economic growth.

The summit will take place on April 30 and May 1, at the St. Regis Hotel on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The summit is an exclusive, invitation-only event for C-level executives, senior decision makers and government officials involved with the aerospace, aviation, defence and space industries.

Hewson will highlight some of Lockheed Martin’s strategic partnerships to grow the UAE’s domestic manufacturing capacity and equip young people with the skills needed to compete in the 21st century, said a statement.

She said: “The aerospace and defence industry is uniquely positioned to help strengthen national defence and economic security through the shared development of technologies.”

“I look forward to returning to Abu Dhabi to once again attend the summit to discuss how we are partnering with the UAE to expand its economy, create high-tech jobs, and promote opportunities in science and technology that will support long-term peace and prosperity,” Hewson added.

Oisin Commane, managing director of SMG Aerospace, which is organising the Global Aerospace Summit, said: “We are delighted to welcome Hewson once again in Abu Dhabi for the summit. She brings a wealth of experience and insight on the aerospace and defence industries that can help inspire a new wave of collaborations across the globe.” – TradeArabia News Service
