Dubai WoodShow opens this week
DUBAI, March 10, 2018
More than 300 participants from 55 countries will descend in Dubai this week for the 13th edition of Dubai WoodShow, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The event will be launched in the presence of Pacome Moubelet Bouyeba, Gabonese Minister of Forest and Vira Khmerova, vice president of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Wood Processing, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, along with other key international dignitaries and officials from the UAE and Dubai governments.
Organized by Strategic Marketing and Exhibitions from March 12 to 14, the three-day event also hosts six country pavilions at the Dubai Woodshow, including Canada, China, Finland, Russian Federation, Turkey and the US.
Trade visitors representing various segments of the wood industry, manufacturers, importers, businessmen dealing in furniture and wood products, are expected to participate, learn about the latest innovations from the fourth-generation technology in furniture manufacturing, wood machinery and its various products.
Due to the increasing demand for wood products, manufacturing machines and accessories, the exhibition plays a very important role in the Middle East, especially in view of the growth of the UAE’s real estate sector that pushes up the demand for household items, furniture and decorative materials and contributes to meet the needs of the market.
The exhibition is also an attractive environment for investment and the executing attractive deals between exhibitors, suppliers, importers and manufacturers. It is a real platform to bring the latest woodworking machines and make them available to the beneficiaries of traders and individuals working in the industry. The event is one of the most important exhibitions that the UAE is paying great attention to. It is supported by the Ministry of Economy and a number of governmental and specialized agencies. The exhibition covers an area of more than 17,000 sq m.
More than 12,000 trade visitors are expected to visit the three-day international exhibition and explore opportunities and offers from a large number of international companies from most the global timber industry, machinery and accessories. The exhibition will be attended by a number of other players in the field of wood industry, such as the Ministry of Forestry and the Environment of the Republic of Cameroon, the president of the National Timber Company of Gabon, the European Wood Machinery Manufacturers Association, the American Timber Export Council, the Turkish Timber Manufacturers Association, and many others.
A three-day Dubai International Furniture, Accessories, Components and Semi-Furnished Products (DIFAC) exhibition, which includes all wooden product accessories manufacturers, will also run concurrently with Dubai WoodShow that will provide the latest designs. - TradeArabia News Service
