Saudi Arabia to import 660,000 tonnes of fodder barley in Oct
RIYADH, August 13, 2017
Saudi Grains Organization recently announced its 5th tender for the year 2017 for importing 660,000 tonnes of fodder barley during October, 2017 on board 11 ships through the kingdom's ports on the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf, said a report.
The organization's Governor Engineer Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Faris pointed out that this tender comes as an extension of the kingdom's plan to cover the local demand of fodder barley and preserve its strategic stocks, added the Saudi Press Agency report.
It further noted that the organisation has already awarded tenders to import 5.410 million tonnes of fodder barley this year.
