Milaha launches warehousing, 3PL operations in Sohar

DOHA, August 7, 2017

Qatar Navigation (Milaha), a leading maritime and logistics conglomerate, has set up a warehousing and 3PL services unit within Oman’s Sohar Free Zone, said a report.

Milaha also looks to further explore expansion for its diverse portfolio of services in the sultanate, added the Peninsula Qatar report.

The announcement follows the company shifting its regional transshipment hub to the Port of Sohar, where Milaha is offering competitive transit time for local cargo and a high frequency of Oman to Qatar sailings.

Milaha currently calls two ports in Oman (Sohar and Salalah) and three ports in India (Nhava Sheva, Mundra, and Kandla), offering enhanced connectivity and transit times to Qatar and the region, and is actively evaluating further expansion of services.

Milaha’s logistics setup in Oman will provide excellent opportunities for local, regional, and international importers and exporters, and will increase options to access the lucrative Qatari market, added the report.
