Emirates Transport carried 77m gallons of fuel in H1

DUBAI, August 2, 2017

Emirates Transport (ET) has revealed that it has delivered 77.3 million gallons of petroleum products during the first half of 2017, including 8 million gallons of plane fuel and 69 million gallons of petrol and diesel.

The vehicles transporting the materials, which also included 2.7 million gallons of base oil and 37,580 tons of liquid sulphur, covered nearly 3 million kilometres in the process.

Waleed Salim AlMehairi, executive director of ET's Transport and Rental Division, said that the Corporation has given petroleum transport extra attention, which is reflected in the efficiency and quality of services provided by ET's Logistics Services Centre to an elite group of clients in the State.

AlMehairi also stated that the Centre undertakes periodic maintenance programmes and protection for its vehicles and tanks in coordination with the suppliers and in line with approved periodic check-lists that have been issued by the manufacturers themselves.

Earlier this year the Centre successfully gained international recognition in the field of petroleum and chemicals transport, after fulfilling the criteria of the Gulf Sustainability & Quality Assessment System (Gulf SCAS).

The Center provides its services to various sectors of companies operating in the oil field. The centre is managing, operating and maintaining a fleet of heavy vehicles that includes liquid sulphur tanks, petroleum products tanks, base oil tanks, liquid urea tanks and different oil and gas transporting services for governmental and private companies, on a 24-hour basis. – TradeArabia News Service
