Irkut signs deal for three MC-21- 300 aircraft
MOSCOW, July 20, 2017
Russia's Irkut Corporation, a member of the United Aircraft Corporation, and Angara Airlines, based in Irkutsk, Russia, have signed an agreement of intent for three MC-21- 300 aircraft.
The agreement was signed at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017 in Zhukovsky. It is not known when deliveries will start.
Irkut Corporation president Oleg Demchenko and Angara Airlines director Anatoly Yurtaev signed the deal.
MC-21-300 is a Russian-made new generation aircraft with capacity of 163 to 211 passengers and targets the most massive segment of aviation market.
The maiden flight of the aircraft took place at the airfield of Irkutsk Aviation Plant on May 28 this year.
MC-21 aircraft provides passengers with the qualitatively new level of comfort, due to the biggest fuselage diameter in the category of narrow-body aircraft. This design decision significantly widens private space of each passenger, ensures free passage of passenger and service trolley over the aisle, and shortens airport turnover time. Natural lighting of the passenger cabin is enhanced due to big windows. Comfortable air pressure and advanced microclimate will be maintained in the aircraft. - TradeArabia News Service
