Exova wins Canada energy project work

DUBAI, June 29, 2017

UK-based Exova, a global testing, calibration and advisory services provider, has been awarded a two-year service agreement with Matrix Solutions, a Canadian environmental and engineering consultancy business, to provide soil and water testing for operations in the oil and gas sector.

Exova has worked with Matrix Solutions for over 17 years, and in 2015 won a contract as part of a new tender process for the provision of environmental chemistry testing, said a statement from the company.

The services for Matrix Solutions will include hydrocarbon testing, metals and salinity analysis, and groundwater monitoring, it said.

Primarily supporting Matrix’s remediation and reclamation work, Exova’s analytical data and test findings will ensure all regulatory measures are met, while also providing additional research and consultancy when required, it added.

Testing will be conducted at Exova’s Western Canada laboratories in Calgary, Edmonton, Fort St John and Drayton Valley.

John Banks, principal chemist at Matrix Solutions, said: “Matrix is pleased to continue our long- standing relationship with Exova built on having a dedicated team of professionals to provide technical expertise and provide quality analytical services in both routine and emergency spill response situations.”

Randy Neumann, vice president, Exova Canada, said: “This agreement is further confirmation of the strength of our long-standing relationship with Matrix Solutions.”

“We not only support them with technically demanding testing and analysis, but we also provide our team of 160 highly experienced experts,” he said.

“This depth of expertise means that when customers need additional counsel and consultation, they have complete confidence in us to provide it,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
