Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the Bahrain-based international aluminium smelter, is a key sponsor and participant at the ongoing 22nd World Aluminium Conference, being held in London, UK.

The three-day event, organised by Commodity Research Unit's (CRU), will conclude tomorrow (May 5), and is being held at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square.

Alba’s chief executive officer Tim Murray is attending the event, along with other members of the company, said a statement.

This year, the conference covers the outlook for aluminium markets, prices and premiums as well as addresses the issue of sustainability in the aluminium sector, it said.

Murray said: “The conference is a well-known event that brings key decision makers from around the world on a single platform.”

“This event allows aluminium producers in the Middle East to highlight the potential for their growth all the while presenting opportunities to learn of the latest technologies and innovations,” he added.
