SR Technics, a leading maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service provider, and flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) recently signed a 12-year Integrated Component Services (ICS) agreement.

The agreement covers the servicing of a total of 45 A321 and 15 A330-300 aircraft, including component maintenance, component pooling and consignment of the main base kit, ensuring flexible access to spare parts, said a statement from the company.

The services will be managed by the SR Technics Centre of Excellence for component maintenance in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which currently serves over 460 aircraft in the Asia Pacific region, it said.

Jaime J Bautista, president and chief operating officer, PAL, said: “Safety remains the cornerstone of our operations. As such, we put premium in cultivating relationships with entities like SR Technics to help ensure the reliability of our fleet.”

SR Technics has a longstanding relationship with PAL. Last year, the companies signed a five-year engine maintenance contract to support PAL’s entire fleet of CFM56-5C engines, said a statement.

As part of the agreement, SR Technics and AerFin are providing services to Philippine Airlines under their jointly managed Beyond.Fleet.Services, a product suite which extends the life of maturing fleets and reduces the day-to-day operating costs for engines, airframe and component maintenance, it said.

SR Technics' services cover nose-to-tail, customer proximity and optimized inventory management.  The company provides Airbus, Boeing and Embraer operators worldwide with guaranteed 24/7 component availability, combined with high-quality maintenance services and an established worldwide logistics network, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
