Leminar Air Conditioning Company, a leading distributor and service provider of HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) and plumbing products in the GCC, has signed an exclusive agreement with Kuwait Insulating Material Manufacturing Company (Kimmco) for the distribution of Climaver, its lightweight pre-insulated ductwork system.

As per the agreement, Leminar will be the sole distributor of Climaver in the UAE.

The product, which was introduced to the market in the early part of 2016, is considered the best alternative to traditional sheet metal duct systems, said a statement from Leminar.

It is a practical solution that meets the stringent thermal, acoustic and fire performance requirements of the building market, it stated.

Mark Westermayer, the marketing director of Kimmco, said: "Climaver offers great value to the local HVAC industry and we wanted to make sure it reaches the consumer through a professional and reliable channel."

Leminar's executive director Pramodh Idicheria pointed out that the demand and uptake of fire-resistant ductwork have spurred with regulatory authorities emphasising on fire safety in construction.

Climaver is a product with a distinguished pedigree as it was originally developed by French multinational Saint-Gobain Isover.

Kimmco, a subsidiary of Alghanim Industries and market leading insulation solution provider, is promoting the product with its team of experts in the GCC under the same license of Isover.
