UAE-based Energy Management Services (EMS) said it has secured a contract from the Oman government to conduct a detailed energy audit for three sample buildings in Muscat selected by the Authority for Electricity Regulation.

The project is being funded by Oman's Ministry of Finance.

The scope of work includes conducting the audit on these buildings and identifying the current level of energy performance, besides providing advice on the potential cost-efficient measures to improve it and assessing the energy and cost savings associated with implementing the proposed action plan.

EMS’ strong reputation in the region as the leading energy solution provider in the Middle East, enables considerable value addition to the project, said a statement from the company.

Potential energy saving methods will be identified through an energy consumption analysis conducted by EMS experts, it added.

EMS said its smart property solutions facilitate the creation of smart facility through the optimisation, integration, and automation of energy systems.

As part of the project, EMS’ goal is to ensure that the proposed facilities will operate utilising optimal energy at a reduced cost, said the company statement.

The implementation of energy conservation measures and energy saving equipment in the three buildings will both be financially and environmentally sustainable for the owners, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
