Bahrain’s first solar panel manufacturer Solar One is promoting its ‘Made in Bahrain’ solar photovoltaic (PV) panels at the Gulf Industry Fair 2017.

Solar One’s manufacturing facility in Askar has the capacity to manufacture up to 60,000 panels per year which can generate 15 MW of power.

Managing director Rami Khalifeh said: “We are using the fair to highlight Solar One’s capabilities as a leading provider of cost-effective solar energy solutions.”

Solar One’s panels can be custom built to industry size and specifications and are processed to comply with international standards.

The panels have been developed to work in extreme weather conditions, particularly sandstorms that may prevail in Middle Eastern and North African countries.

 “We aim to meet prospective distributors, sellers and buyers and establish Bahrain’s capability of producing quality solar solutions,” said business development manager Faisal Khalifeh.

Solar One is at Stand P39 at the expo, which runs till February 9 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. - TradeArabia News Service
