GWC receives certification for Integrated Management System

DOHA, December 28, 2016

Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC), a leading logistics provider in Qatar, recently received certifications for its Integrated Management System, renewing its suite of three international standards.

The certification renews GWC’s suite of three international standards including the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008, the Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2004, and the Occupational Health and Safety Management System OHSAS 18001:2007 for all the company’s facilities and business units, said a statement.

The certification was awarded after the surveillance audit performed by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, who presented the certificate to the senior director of commercial services Naji Nassar during a ceremony held in the company’s headquarters at D-Ring Road, Doha, it said.

Nassar said: “As an integral element of our Integrated Management System (IMS) policy, we are committed to provide excellent supply chain solutions in coordination with all the operations of our organisation, in order to achieve customer satisfaction while complying with the international standards, legal and other statutory requirements.”

“Our dedicated quality, health, safety, and environment team ensures that our services remain the most reliable in the industry, while keeping a high degree of responsiveness towards our clients’ needs,” he added.

The international standard for the integrated management systems measures how well a company integrates all of an organisation's systems and processes into one complete framework, enabling an organization to work as a single unit with unified objectives.

In order to receive this certification, GWC submitted to an audit of its documentation and facilities to ensure compliance with all three of these standards individually and in coordination with each other.

Ranjeev Menon, CEO of GWC Group, said: “At our company, it is always a pleasure to offer services, solutions and operations in accordance with the latest and highest international standards, all while remaining true to our passion of fostering the drive and tenacity to innovate and deliver, thereby remaining the provider of choice in the State of Qatar and beyond.”

GWC is the leading provider of logistics and supply chain solutions in the State of Qatar. Established as a Qatari shareholding company in 2004; the company offers high-quality warehousing and distribution services, hazmat logistics, freight forwarding, project logistics, sports and event logistics, equestrian logistics, fine art logistics, supply chain consulting, transportation management, records management, and door-to-door moving and relocation services.

GWC delivers this by understanding their clients’ needs and by leveraging their global shipping network. The company is backed by a team of committed and innovative experts in the field and supported by state-of-the-art IT systems and logistical infrastructure, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
