With operations due to commence this month, the new 400-sq-m facility will boost the continued international growth of the company, leading to the recruitment of five key team members to expand its activities in the region, said a statement from the company.

Ennio Lucidi has been appointed as Next Geosolutions’ Middle East general manager. With more than 35 years of experience in the marine and offshore oil and gas sectors. He has held a number of senior positions, leading and negotiating on multimillion dollar contracts.

Lucidi said: “I am delighted to be part of the company’s strong commitment and development into this new market, at both a challenging and stimulating time.”

“In addition to its state of the art solutions, I believe my skills will contribute for a sustainable and profitable growth in the region,” he said.

Giovanni Ranieri, chief executive officer, Next Geosolutions, said: “In order to meet the growing needs of our global clients, it has become essential to expand our international operations.”

“The Middle East is a key focus for our services and by investing in the new bases, we open up significant opportunities within different areas of intervention. These include: surveys; ROV and diving; inspection repair and maintenance and non-destructive testing; geophysical, geotechnical and marine services,” he added.

As well as enabling the company to conduct further complex air diving inspection, repair and maintenance projects throughout the Arabian Gulf, the new premises will provide Next Geosolutions’ growing Middle East client base with a consistent on-the-ground service.

Ranieri stated: “Having the right assets and a qualified team in the region is the key to meeting the increasing clients’ demands for our company’s expertise and to further expanding our targets. In addition to the initial five employees, we are hoping to recruit further members of staff in the next 12 months, based on potential opportunities.”

“Our base in the UK and headquarters in Italy provide a solid foundation and excellent platform from which to leverage our move into the Middle East. This is an exciting new venture for our business, and a huge amount of work has gone into this, in order to further enhance our ambitious growth plans,” he concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
