Airbus Group unit wins Taqdeer Award

Airbus Group Africa and Middle East was yesterday honoured with the Taqdeer Award at a ceremony held in Dubai, UAE.
Taqdeer is the world’s first points-based award programme for recognising excellence in labour welfare practices.
The company was recognised for fostering diversity, positive work culture, career development opportunities and promoting staff engagement as essential components of its human resources policy and practices, said a statement from Airbus.
The Taqdeer Award aims to enhance relationship between companies and workers by recognising excellence in labour practices and setting new benchmarks across various industries in Dubai, it said.
The award ceremony was held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.
Initially launched for companies in the construction sector, the award now extends to individuals and organisations operating in the free zones, it added.
Habib Fekih, president of Airbus Group Africa and Middle East and Jean Monroy, head of HR Airbus Group Africa and Middle East received the award from Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, said a statement.
Fekih said: “Our employees are our biggest asset and remain central to our growth and success in the region.”
“We are honoured to be recognised by Taqdeer, receiving this award not only reaffirms our employee engagement vision but also inspires us to continue to invest in a work environment that is dynamic and stimulating, enabling our employees to be innovators and high performers in their given roles,” he added.
