Iran exporting nanotechnology products to 18 countries

Iran has exported nanotechnology products to 18 countries, the secretary of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC) was quoted as saying in a report.
Australia, China, Russia, Germany, Turkey, Pakistan, South Korea and the CIS are among the importers of nanotechnology products from Iran, Saeed Sarkar, secretary of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC), was quoted as saying in an Iran Daily News report, citing Irna.
Sarkar added that the council is planning to expand exports to more countries.
According to the official, the products which are exported are classified into 'laboratorial and industrial equipment' and 'materials and products'.
Sarkar referred to the holding of Iran Nanotechnology Day abroad, adding, "Last year, we held such an exhibition in China, which was then followed by a request from South Korea. During the event, we introduced ten nanotechnology products to Chinese and South Korean industrialists."
He added that the council intends to hold Iran Nanotechnology Day once again in China this year.
Last year, Iran and China signed a contract worth $1.5 million, Sarkar said. “We also managed to install 105 items related to laboratorial equipment for students at Chinese high schools."
He pointed out that advance payments have been made for nanotechnology agreements with China.
