A South Korean consortium composed of 15 small and medium companies are planning to set up a manufacturing plant for light emitting diodes (LEDs) in Qatar, said the South Korean Ambassador in a report.

Discussions with Qatari counterparts for setting up the plant are in the final stages, South Korean ambassador Heung Kyeong Park was quoted as saying by Gulf Times.

The plant, once operational, will cater to the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) market, Park said.
