German group Ziehl-Abegg names Mideast chief

DUBAI, June 29, 2016

Ziehl-Abegg, a leading player in the field of ventilation and drive technology and the associated control systems, has appointed David Miller as the managing director for the Middle East region.

An industry veteran, Miller has already worked for a number of companies in the Middle East, Europe and the US, said a statement from the German firm.

After handling a vast range of jobs in various industrial sectors, the 31-year-old engineer is now responsible for the market in the Middle East.

His vast experience in the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) business and regional knowledge provides a good base for the new challenge: to help original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) by sharing expertise and supporting their product development, the statement said.

A major player in the region operating from its Dubai office, Ziehl-Abegg is a leader in technological research leading to the development and the production of innovative fans and drives.

“Our business in the Middle East is growing rapidly, and Miller's appointment enables an improved service for our local and regional customers,” remarked its CEO Peter Fenkl.

"Miller has an excellent technical knowledge of the cooling, heating and ventilation business. He also has very good personal and professional behaviour," he added.

On his new role, Miller said: "My goal is offer the market innovative solutions that reduce both noise and energy consumption, whilst demonstrating the quality benefits and reliability of our German-engineered products."

This, he stated, is only possible if the OEM works closely together with the fan and drive producing company.

"Ziehl-Abegg produces not only fans and drives but  provides also the control technology. We can subsequently offer a tailored system solution from one source," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
