New branch to accommodate over 1,000 vehicles a day

Al Bassami opens new $2.67m branch in Jeddah

JEDDAH, June 9, 2016

Saudi Arabia-based Al Bassami International Group, a leading company specialised in vehicle transportation, has inaugurated its new branch built at a cost of SR10 million ($2.67 million) in the north of Jeddah, said a report.

The new branch will serve all visitors of the entire western region, and comes as part of the group’s expansion plan for being one of the largest transportation companies in the kingdom, and is also in line with Jeddah Governorate’s development plan, said the Saudi Gazette report.

This branch accommodates more than 1,000 vehicles a day, and is established over 40,000 sq m, it said.

Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Bassami, director general of Al Bassami, said that the group is investing about SR350 million ($93.3 million) in several fields, including investment in human resources, investment in transport and other investments.

He further said that the success attained over 40 years since the group’s establishment is a result of direct supervision by the group’s board chairman Sheikh Mohammed Mohey Al Bassami.

At the inauguration of the new branch, Al Bassami reported that the group has more than 30 branches, equipped with cutting-edge tools and equipment which help speedy and accurate completion of work, whether administratively, e.g., use of computers, information and training, or technically, using the Middle East’s most state-of-the-art machinery and cranes, added  the report.
