Air cargo leaders calls for 100pc e-freight adoption

Air cargo industry leaders called for 100 per cent e-freight adoption at Clear View, a Kale Thought Leadership Summit for Air Cargo, which took place in Dubai, UAE recently.
The summit was a first-of-its-kind interactive platform, which witnessed a very encouraging participation from leading airlines, airport cargo handlers, industry associations, regulators and prominent industry consultants.
It discussed industry issues in a round table format involving all the participants.
There were four power packed and focused sessions over one and half days on the industry relevant subjects covering- Changing Business Environment- Need for Innovation; Statutory Compliances and Controls; Enabling e-Freight and The New Horizon- A Modern Age GHA.
The subjects touched upon key areas of concern for airport cargo ground handling community such as benchmark airport KPIs, statutory compliances, regulations and customs processes, e-freight and the need for change management, the new opportunities and threats from e-commerce trade and modern technologies being used like- drone deliveries and 4D printing among others.
The Clear View summit endeavoured to ensure that a collective voice of the industry gets collated and the industry itself can now prepare a charter for enabling “doable” activities so as to provide “practical solutions” to the issues discussed during the summit.
