Bahrain India Society team to visit 'Make in India' week
MANAMA, February 4, 2016
A delegation of Bahraini and Indian businessmen in the kingdom are set to visit 'Make in India Week,' according to the Bahrain India Society (BIS).
The event, which will run from February 23 to 28 in Mumbai, aims to showcase the potential of design, innovation and sustainability across India's manufacturing sectors in the coming decade.
Some participating sectors include IT and electronic systems, food processing, construction media and entertainment.
The BIS delegation aims to highlight the business and investment opportunities in Bahrain, build relations and meet potential investors.
The 'Make in India' initiative was launched globally in September 2014, as part of the Government of India’s renewed focus on invigorating the country’s manufacturing sector.
The landmark initiative has made a huge impact on the investment climate of the country, and reflects in the significant growth of overall foreign direct investment (FDI).
Mohammed Dadabhai, BIS chairman, said: “We are delighted to take a part in this important event. We will make an effort to promote the business friendly environment in the kingdom and to attract the Indian companies to invest in Bahrain.
"Further, this event is an excellent opportunity to strengthen our relations with the businessmen in India.” - TradeArabia News Service
