Orange Leaf Frozen Yoghurt to open 4 outlets in Dubai

DUBAI, December 10, 2015

Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt, a leading frozen yogurt concept in America, is set to partner with UAE-headquartered retail company Two Spoons, to open four frozen yoghurt outlets in Dubai by the end of this year.

The outlets will open in the emirate's most sought after retail destinations, including Mall of the Emirates, Mirdiff City Center, The Dubai Mall and The Mall on Jumeirah Beach Road, said a statement.

In addition, Two Spoons has signed a territory development agreement to open many outlets across the Middle East by identifying and partnering with local franchisees in various markets, it said.

Carl Ghossoub, managing director of Two Spoons and territory developer of Orange Leaf in the Middle East, said: “Consumer demand for frozen yogurt in the Middle East has grown exponentially.

"We are thrilled to develop the Orange Leaf brand in the region and look forward to working with other franchise partners who will use their proven business acumen and food and beverage experience to drive this frozen yogurt brand forward in the Middle East.”

The outlets in the Middle East will mirror the experience of Orange Leaf outlets in the US, giving customers the ability to create their own desserts with self-serve frozen yogurt machines and a wide variety of toppings, as well as providing a fun place for all ages to gather and enjoy a special treat, said the statement.

These locations will offer locally and internationally sourced, authentic toppings preferred by customers in each location and once the initial outlets are established, Orange Leaf will develop frozen yogurt flavours that cater to regional tastes, it said.

The Mall of the Emirates will be the first Orange Leaf location to open at the beginning of December, with a dedicated kiosk located within the popular family entertainment destination, Magic Planet.

Later in the month, three additional Orange Leaf outlets will open with a second Magic Planet-located kiosk at Mirdiff City Center, along with a 43-sq-m store opening at The Dubai Mall, next to Mashreq bank.

The city’s newest retail destination, The Mall, located opposite Wild Wadi on Jumeirah Beach Road, will be home to a 128-sq-m, free-standing Orange Leaf store, which is scheduled to open in early December.

Orange Leaf’s kiosk menus will feature a wide variety of frozen yogurt flavours such as, brownie batter, pomegranate, birthday cake and customer favorite, salted caramel, along with a wealth of different toppings, like fresh fruit, nuts, cereal and popular candies.

The stores will also offer a range of frozen yogurt smoothies and frozen yogurt cookie sandwiches. The frozen yogurt specialties will also be complemented by a selection of fresh baked goods ranging from croissants and raisin Danish’ to pancakes, along with hot beverages.

Orange Leaf's Middle East expansion plans are part of its overall global growth strategy, said the statement.

With more than 300 stores in the US and five in Australia, the Orange Leaf team is actively cultivating strategic franchise relationships in other international markets targeting 700 stores worldwide and continuing to build its brand awareness through a variety of partnerships such as that with Oklahoma City Thunder NBA basketball star, Kevin Durant, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
