Lockheed chief for Abu Dhabi aerospace summit
ABU DHABI, November 8, 2015
Marillyn Hewson, chairman, president and chief executive officer of aerospace company Lockheed Martin will deliver a keynote address at next year’s Global Aerospace Summit in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The event runs on March 7 and 8 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
Hosted by Mubadala Development Company and organised by Streamline Marketing Group (SMG), the biannual Summit, the third edition, is an exclusive, invitation-only global event for C-level executives across the aerospace aviation, space and defence industries. More than 1,000 experts are expected to take part in the event being held under the theme of innovation.
Hewson’s first day keynote address will focus on Abu Dhabi’s growing status as a global aerospace and aviation industry powerhouse.
“Lockheed Martin has exceptionally strong links with government entities in the UAE so its President will be able to share critical insights into cross-border corporation success strategies,” said Nick Webb, SMG’s managing partner.
“Successful partnerships will also be a focus stream at the Summit and with Lockheed Martin operating more than 300 partnerships in 70 countries, its experience is driving co-operation for the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services will hugely benefit the programme.”
Within the UAE, Lockheed Martin has partnership programmes with Mubadala Development Company, Masdar, Khalifa University, UAE University and Abu Dhabi Polytechnic to innovate for industrialisation and skills development to support economic growth.
Since taking the helm at Lockheed Martin in 2013, Hewson has overseen record profits and helped its stock price more than double.
