Raysut Cement … net profit lower from previous year

Oman's Raysut Cement Q3 net profit falls 8.5pc

MUSCAT, October 13, 2015

Oman's Raysut Cement reported an 8.5 per cent decrease in third-quarter net profit on Tuesday, according to Reuters calculations based on its financial statements.

The largest cement firm by market value in the sultanate made OR4.84 million ($12.57 million) in the three months to September 30, compared with OR5.29 million ($13.74 million) in the same period of 2014.

Two analysts polled by Reuters had forecast Raysut would make a quarterly net profit of OR4.2-4.3 million ($10.91-11.17 million).

Raysut made a profit of OR15.8 million ($41.04 million) in the nine months to September 30, down from 20.9 million ($54.29 million) a year earlier, it said.

Revenue was OR69.4 million ($180.26 million), down from OR70.8 million ($183.90 million) a year ago. - Reuters
