Founded in September 2013 by Innovation 360, a leading innovation consultancy in the emirate, The Cribb offers a place for local entrepreneurs and start-up teams to work, hold meetings, attend events, and meet influential business leaders and investors from around the world, said a statement.
In the past two years, The Cribb has hosted more than 60 companies including some familiar names such as pixelbug, Melltoo, Presella, Loadme.ae, Trip Advisor, Cleartrip, Interns.me and KinTrans.
It has hosted four previous rounds of DP World’s TURN8 Seed Accelerator, and is currently hosting the fifth set of teams in the programme, it added.

The Cribb has partnered with many organisations who share a commitment to the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Dubai - STEP Conference, Global App Summit, Carpool Arabia, Startup Corner, Upwork, Nabbesh, IT Park Kazan, Microsoft, Blackberry, Amazon, and Fenox Venture Capital, which worked with Innovation 360 to develop a $100 million investment fund with 25 per cent of the fund going to Middle East start-ups, it added.
Kamal Hassan, founder and president of Innovation 360, said, “It is exciting and encouraging to see how the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Dubai is growing. We are very pleased to be part of that effort, and to continue to grow our own offerings in support of regional entrepreneurs and visiting start-ups from around the world.”
