Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), a leading aluminium smelter in the world, announced that it has been named the gold sponsor of the Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS) 2016, to be held in the kingdom in January.

The event will take place from January 21 to 23, at the Sakhir Airbase.
 
BIAS 2016 will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, and also under the direction of Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the personal representative of His Majesty the King and the chairman of the supreme organising committee of BIAS.

The event is organised by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and Royal Bahraini Air Force and in cooperation with Farnborough International, said the statement.

Ahmed Al-Nemah, acting undersecretary of Civil Aviation Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT) and a member of the supreme organising committee of BIAS was present during the signing ceremony and expressed his gratitude to Alba for its continued support and cooperation in making this event a success, it said.
