Hoermann launches new DD rolling shutters

Hoermann Middle East, a leading provider of doors and gates, has launched a new series of sturdy and reliable Decotherm ‘DD’ (Direct Drive) rolling shutters in robust designs for industrial, trade and commercial use.
The new innovative rolling shutters are suitable for door openings up to a width of 12 m and a height of 9 m, said a statement.
Darius Khanloo, managing director, said: “Hoermann rolling shutters are a practical, cost-effective concept, geared to a diverse range of operating sequences and a long, reliable service life. All of the operators and controls are installation-friendly, ready-to-plug-in individual components.
“The robust construction in galvanised steel is mounted directly to the building structure without anchor through an adapter groove in the profiles, which saves both space and installation time.”
The side guide markings for quick adjustment of the door’s end-of-travel positions allow easy fitting. The door components can easily be positioned on the building structure using the meter line and console template.
The harmonious unit of side guides with two-part design and preassembled narrow aluminium sub-frame ensure only 80 mm side space is required for all door sizes.
Low side rooms and lintel fitting coupled with the flexible operator fitting allow for installation even in tight spaces. Featuring more flexibility and simple fitting with the direct drive operator, the Decotherm DD rolling shutter is also the ideal choice for secure night locking of large openings in warehouses, said Khanloo.
Service-friendly, easy dismantling shutters include a surface protection system for a permanently good appearance, said the statement.
All Decotherm profiles are coated with a protective paint; the polyamide particles embedded in the colour coating improve the sliding characteristics of the profiles.
The door barrel is also protected from dirt and adverse effects of the weather by the PVDD curtain cover as it acts as a trap guard for doors less than 2.5 m high which can be extended by the VDD operator cover.
The door curtain would be further protected from abrasion thanks to the newly developed metal holders with polyamide sliding surfaces, it said.
The acoustic-rated curtain as well as the sealing techniques used around the entire shutter will help to reduce noise from both outside and inside, the company stated.
