OETC employees celebrate the achievement.

OETC logs 10m man hours without incident

MUSCAT, June 21, 2015

Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC), part of Nama Group, recently achieved 10 million man hours without any loss-time injury or any incidents.

This achievement is due to the continued effort of employees and contractors to abide and build on the safety procedures that are in place, a statement said.

“We are proud of this achievement, which came as a result of commitment to the workplace as well as individual efforts by our employees and contractors to create and maintain a safety focused culture within the organization, this also showcases our commitment as entity that focuses its management on safety as a priority,” said Ali Al Hadabi, CEO of OETC.

“The importance of this commitment isn’t just a number, we care that our employees reach their homes and families safe at the end of each day. This responsibility is a shared one by everyone here, and is a responsibility we will always keep,” he added.

Asif Ali, the HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) manager of OETC, said that achieving these high standards of health and safety reflect on every employee in the organization, and that each employee within the different departments works hard to maintain these standards, and that achieving these standards showcases the effort in all the areas that OETC operates in. – TradeArabia News Service
