Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), the flagship free zone operation of Dubai and a key trade and logistics hub for the wider Middle East region, will be a key partner and participant of the “Dubai Week in China”, taking place in Beijing.

The event will run from May 8 to 15, at The Orange in Sanlitun Taikoo Li South.

Jafza will showcase its key offerings as Dubai's trade and logistics hub, said a statement.

A Jafza delegation led by Salma Hareb, CEO of Jafza and Economic Zones World, will also attend the event, it added.

Ibrahim Mohamed Aljanahi, deputy CEO of Jafza, said: “China has been one of the key trade partners of the UAE and Dubai for the past several decades. We enjoy a very robust trade relation which continues to grow stronger by every passing year.

“China is at present the biggest trade partners of Jafza. More than 248 leading Chinese companies in diverse sectors, from oil and gas, electronics, heavy machinery, engineering, construction to automotive, have chosen Jafza as their home. All these companies are serving the entire region through their respective regional headquarters at the Free Zone,” he said.

“Rapid growth in the region provides greater opportunities for Chinese businesses. Our participation in Falcon Associate's Dubai Week in China as a key partner aims at attracting more Chinese multinationals into the Free Zone and help them capitalise on the continuously growing opportunities in the region.

“Expo 2020 in Dubai has given further boost to developmental activities not only in Dubai and other emirates in the UAE but in all the GCC countries that will be benefiting from more than 25 million visitors coming to Dubai during the six-month expo,” he added.

Jafza will conduct three business seminars for Chinese investors during Dubai Week in China. Ibrahim Mohamed Aljanahi, Deputy CEO of Jafza will be a panellist in "Why Dubai" panel discussion in "Invest in Dubai" seminar organized by Falcon on May 9, further added the statement.

Jafza will also be meeting a vice governor led official delegation from Ningxia that has confirmed attendance at Dubai Week in China, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
