Elster...showcase top technologies at Wetex Dubai
Elster reports rapid expansion in Mena region
MAINZ-KASTEL, Germany, April 14, 2015
Elster, an industry-leading provider of electricity meters, related communications solutions, and software solutions for meter data collection and management applications, has reported rapid growth in markets across the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.
Buoyed by thriving economies and growth in Mena’s construction industry, Elster has established a substantial share of the region’s smart metering market through its core strategy of modular design, interoperability, standards development and innovation, said a statement.
The firm will showcase the technology behind this expansion in the region at this year’s Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (Wetex 2015), which will run from April 21 to 23 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The modular design and interoperability inherent within Elster’s product portfolio has led to the company’s continued success in the region. The company has installed several hundred thousand meters with Abu Dhabi Electricity and Water Authorities (Adewa), Dubai Electricity and Water Authorities (Dewa), and the Federal Electricity and Water Authorities (Fewa).
In addition, the company is involved in several pilots with utilities and service providers in the region supporting the smart city initiative potentially leading to further large scale rollouts.
Ali Mouslmani, Mena regional director, said: “Elster has been a central player in the strategic planning of activities for smart metering rollouts in the MENA region and has established a strong position in local utility markets as a key partner.
“We are involved on a day-to-day basis, feeling the customer pulse so that our product and service solutions satisfy our clients’ local requirements. Elster’s innovative technology, flexible product design, and modular strategy mean that we offer end-to-end solutions for utilities, as well as localised maintenance and service capabilities.”
Elster will be demonstrating a range of solutions at the expo, including the modular smart meters and G3-PLC Solutions, and the new Connexo platform designed to simplify the utility journey to the smart energy future. - TradeArabia News Service
