Murphys Waves to launch new Surf-Air at DEAL

DUBAI, March 25, 2015

Murphys Waves, a leading designer and manufacturer of high quality wave machine systems, will unveil the new Surf-Air and mark its Middle East debut at this year’s Dubai Entertainment Amusement and Leisure Show (DEAL 2015), to be held in Dubai, UAE.

The event will take place from April 14 to 16 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The new Surf-Air will be the world’s first ever inflatable flow surfing ride, said a company statement.

The Surf-Air requires no construction and can be fully inflated and made fully operational in few hours, making it a mobile attraction that can be located just about anywhere including water parks, campsites, beach side locations, shopping malls, town squares or as a pop-up attraction at festivals or rock concerts throughout the country, it added.

Jim Stuart, managing director, Murphys Waves, said: “The DEAL Show has always been the gateway for Murphys Waves to showcase our innovative wave machines and surf systems to the ever growing Middle Eastern leisure market.”

“Having attended the show many times before we have seen our market share in the region grow to make us the top choice for all prestigious water park and surf developments throughout the Middle East and beyond,” he added.

As per industry estimates the GCC retail sector will reach Dh811 billion ($221 billion) in 2015 and by 2017, the amusement industry alone is set to cross Dh118 billion ($32.1 billion).

Sharif Rahman, CEO of IEC, the organisers of DEAL 2015, said: “Manufacturers and suppliers in the amusement and related industries are keen to connect with the GCC and the wider Middle East as the region’s thriving retail sector and demand for leisure amenities present infinite opportunities.”

“With spacious malls opening in the next few years the GCC will witness exponential investments in the leisure and entertainment facilities. The response that DEAL 2015 has generated underlines a great deal of interest from both the demand and supply sides of the industry,” he said.

The DEAL 2015 show will also have exhibitors from countries as diverse as Belgium, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, France, Turkey, and USA, apart from several new countries that come to the show each year. Last year, the show witnessed a huge gathering of stakeholders within the amusement and entertainment sector with 32 new exhibitors and several new countries, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
