Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa has been re-elected chairman of the board of directors of Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (Asry) and new board members have been inducted.

Shaikh Daij, the representative of Bahrain, chaired the 139th board meeting of the company, which saw ratification of his appointment as chairman for the 11th session of the board for the next four years, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Nasser bin Mohammed Al Foozan, the representative of Saudi Arabia, has been elected first vice-chairman, and Abdulla Fodhala Al Sulaiti, the representative of Qatar, has been elected the second vice-president.

The meeting also designated members of the board's executive, audit and remuneration committees for the new session.

The chairman and members of Asry Marketing Company were also elected, and Abdul Razzaq Jaffar Zain Al Abedeen was appointed corporate secretary for the new session.

The board also reviewed the financial and operational results, as well as commercial activities, during last year. - TradeArabia News Service
