GMS to launch new long-term contract in Q1

LONDON, February 1, 2015

Gulf Marine Services GMS), a leader in advanced self-propelled self-elevating support vessels for the energy sector, has been awarded a major long-term contract for one of its Large Class vessels, a report said.

The vessel will commence a four-year charter towards the end of the first quarter of 2015 upon completing its current operations in the Mena region, added The Telegraph report, which cited a story by StockMarketWire.com.

The new charter is for a regional state-run oil company with a day rate in line with that previously indicated for the region for this class of vessel, the report said.

This new charter award gives GMS secured backlog of $739 million, according to the report.
