Vestas ..... to provide clean energy to more than 113,400 people in Italy
Vestas gets order for 15 wind turbines
COPENHAGEN, December 30, 2014
Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems has received an order to supply 15 turbines for a wind park in Italy from Alisea SRL, a unit of German trading group BayWa AG.
The order includes six units of V110-2.0 MW turbines and nine units of V126-3.3 MW turbine for the Lacedonia wind power plant in the Campania region, Vestas said in a press release on its website.
The turbines will have a total capacity of 42 MW. Vestas did not say how much the order was worth, but Reuters estimates show that on average one megawatt gives Vestas revenue of around 0.86 million euros ($1.05 million).
The contract includes delivery, installation and commissioning the wind turbines, as well as a 15-year service agreement, Vestas said. Turbine delivery is expected in the third quarter of 2015.
The Lacedonia wind power plant will produce about 131 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity per year, "providing clean energy to more than 113,400 people in Italy", it added. - Reuters
