260 firms to showcase security equipment in Qatar

More than 260 exhibitors from 36 counties are set to showcase internal state security equipment at Milipol Qatar 2014, a trade exhibition dedicated to internal State security, which will kick-off on October 20 at the Doha Exhibition Centre.
The three-day show will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar and is being organised by the Qatar’s Ministry of Interior and Comexposium Security from Paris, said a statement.
The event will highlight the latest technological advancements – both in terms of products and services – as numerous participants and exhibitors from local and international solutions providers will cover a wide ranging area that includes transmissions, communications and tracking; authentication, access control and surveillance systems; corporate and media; and information technology.
With a strong focus on products and services that effectively respond to current market trends, the exhibition will also feature optics and optronics equipment; consultancy, training and related services; mobility; personnel equipment and fabrics; major risks, crisis management and civil emergencies; specific transverse technologies; body inspection systems; fast-scan vehicle inspection systems; law enforcement cameras; and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Muriel Kafantaris, exhibition director, said: “Finally, the long wait is over! I am proud to say that as of today, all preparations are already in place and we are more than eager to welcome and host, from Monday and for the succeeding two days, all stakeholders involved in internal State security.
“As the world’s most influential trade exhibition dedicated to internal State security, exhibitors and visitors from across the region and all over the world who will descend upon Qatar, will be able to see and experience cutting-edge technologies and innovations that exhibitors intend to highlight at the show.”
“Thus, we encourage and invite all those interested to learn more and acquire the latest and most advanced hardware and software systems related to internal State security but have not yet registered their attendance to the event to simply go to our website and register online,” she said.
The North American pavilion will occupy the largest exhibition space at 231 sq m, the overall net floor area of built booths at 6,067 sq m which corresponds to a 12 per cent expansion from two years back.
Six new countries – Belgium, Cyprus, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic and Taiwan – as well as two new international pavilions – Italy and the UK – will join a line-up of the finest manufacturers and suppliers of internal State security equipment from all over the world.
The UK pavilion, with 24 companies, will have the largest number of international participants, while the host Qatar will have 59.
The other international pavilions also to be present at the show will be Brazil, France, and Germany / Austria.
The new exhibitors at the show include ADS Group, BAE Systems and Rockwell Collins from the UK; Alfardan Automobiles – BMW, Complete Source One, International Gulf Trading Company – Chubb Fire, Qatar Fuel (WOQOD), and Qatar Railways Company from Qatar; Al-Boury For Weapons from Kuwait; Axis Communications from the UAE; CZ from the Czech Republic; ERCOM from France; FNSS from Turkey, Forjas Taurus from Brazil; Mehler Law Enforcement from Germany; Raytheon from the US.; and Yamaha Motors from Japan. - TradeArabia News Service
