Singapore Airlines Cargo … five-year pact.

Singapore Airlines Cargo, Chep sign global ULD maintenance agreement

SINGAPORE, September 29, 2014

Singapore Airlines Cargo has appointed Chep Aerospace Solutions, a leading independent provider of outsourced Unit Load Device (ULD) and galley cart services, to maintain and repair its entire fleet of ULDs worldwide under a five-year agreement.

In addition to the airline's global cargo fleet of more than 16,000 containers and pallets, Chep will also provide repairs for Scoot, the airline’s fully-owned subsidiary operating medium- and long-haul low-cost flights.

Chep Aerospace Solutions president, Dr Ludwig Bertsch, said: "Following our recent ULD management contract win with Cathay Pacific and retaining ULD repairs for American Airlines as subcontractor to their recently announced ULD outsourcing arrangement, we are very pleased that the great momentum continues and Singapore Airlines Cargo has selected Chep to maintain and repair its global fleet of ULDs. We are committed to providing world-class levels of service to all our business partners and welcome Singapore Airlines Cargo to our ever-expanding customer portfolio." – TradeArabia News Service
