BMMI wins $16m USAID contract

Bahrain-based BMMI, a major provider of end-to-end supply chain solutions, has been awarded a new US government contract valued at $16 million, to provide life support services to the US mission in Juba, South Sudan.

The contract is with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in South Sudan and BMMI will offer services that include hospitality and housekeeping, food services, facilities maintenance, procurement and logistics. The services will be provided to USAID and will include the US Embassy, US Mission Offices and all residences and compounds.

This contract is considered a major development for BMMI, through its fully owned, Integrated Facilities Management subsidiary, Global Sourcing and Supply (GSS).

GSS currently operates in Mali, Gabon, Ghana, Sudan, South Sudan and Burkina Faso, and runs a new hub in Kenya, which provides access to the markets of Tanzania, Uganda and Somalia. – TradeArabia News Service
