Aluminium Bahrain’s (Alba) Calciner and Marine Department will be hosting its HSE Week from December 8 to 12.

The HSE Week, to be held under the theme ‘Safety Rules are your Best Tools,’ will focus on various aspects of safety with a special emphasis on safety topics related to the Calciner and Marine.

With an aim to boost safety awareness among its employees, the week will feature presentations by the General Directorate of Civil Defence and General Directorate of Traffic on safety-related subjects and presentations on topics such as Road Safety Observation, Lifting tackles, crane & vessels, Environment & gas emission and Contractor safety awareness.

CEO Tim Murray said: “Alba greatly values safety and it is an integral component of our operations. Alba maintains safety awareness campaigns throughout the year, and this is accomplished through the weekly Monday safety hours, five-minute safety talk before each shift, the annual HSE Week for all the departments, and the individual department-led HSE Week, which specifically focus on safety issues related to the departments, he added. - TradeArabia News Service
