Foster Wheeler wins Kuwait plant contract

Zug (Switzerland), October 8, 2013

Foster Wheeler said a subsidiary of its Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded a contract by Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) for a pre-feasibility study and a market report for a proposed aromatics plant in Kuwait.

The study is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2013.

The Foster Wheeler did not disclose the contract value and said it will be included in the company’s third-quarter 2013 bookings.

Commenting on the win, Umberto della Sala, the president and chief operating officer of Foster Wheeler said: "Our wide chemicals experience and in-depth technical expertise, combined with the specialist study execution capability in our Business Solutions Group, were key factors in winning this contract."
