Eaton to supply electrical solutions to Sadara

Dubai, July 3, 2013

Eaton, a diversified industrial manufacturer, has entered into an agreement with Sadara Chemical Company, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical, to supply electrical equipment and services.

Under the multimillion dollar agreement, Eaton will provide motor control, power distribution solutions and engineering services to enhance the overall reliability and safety of Sadara’s global, fully integrated chemical complex currently under construction in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia.

The Sadara complex will be the world’s largest integrated chemical facility ever built in a single phase. It will produce more than three million metric tons of value added chemicals and plastics to serve the rapidly expanding energy, transportation, infrastructure and consumer products sectors.

“Sadara will expand production of important chemical products and advance industrialisation, job creation and innovation”, said Frank Campbell, president, Europe, Middle East and Africa Region for Eaton’s Electrical Sector.

“With more than a century of power system design experience and a comprehensive global network of engineering and manufacturing resources, Eaton is well positioned to help enhance electrical safety and reliability at this critical facility.”

Eaton’s Electrical Sector is contracted to provide custom electrical solutions to promote safe and reliable power distribution at the complex.

Additionally, Eaton’s Electrical Service and Systems division, which has one of the largest and most experienced teams of power system engineers in the industry, will provide Sadara with electrical system startup assistance and training. – TradeArabia News Service
