Dubai, May 17, 2012
New Zealand technology company Jade Software Corporation has opened an office in Dubai to build on sales success of its port management software ‘Master Terminal’ in the Middle East region.
Captain Kaustubh Dalvi, director of business development for Jade Logistics, an operating division of Jade Software Corporation, said the new office will help address the market opportunity in the region and strengthen Jade's position.
"Over the last 18 months, we've achieved significant growth in the Middle East, so it has become a strategic location for Jade,” he said. "The office is also an important step that brings us closer to our growing customer base."
Jade has developed long term relationships with key industry players such as Gulftainer and Milaha (formerly Qatar Navigation Port Services), where its terminal operating software is being implemented at the Port of Doha.
"Our partnership with Gulftainer is strategically important for us as we continue to invest in the region," said Captain Dalvi.
Peter Richards, managing director, Gulftainer, said: "Jade has been a great support to Gulftainer, providing first class maintenance and extensive on-site training seminars for our people. We have built our reputation on reliability and productivity and Jade's products help us maintain this reputation.”
The company has also appointed Yatin Naik to its Dubai office, who will focus on supporting existing customers in the region and helping implement new sites.
"Yatin comes to Jade with a wealth of industry experience and knowledge of managing complex multi-terminal and mixed cargo ports," said Dalvi.
Jade Logistics helps ports in New Zealand, Brazil, Doha, Italy, Iraq, Georgia, UAE, US and Poland to improve the efficiency of managing containers and other cargo with its Master Terminal product. – TradeArabia News Service
