Algeco, Byrne extend agreement into Qatar
Dubai, November 28, 2011
Algeco, the leading global supplier of modular space and secure storage rental and sales solutions, had extended its UAE agreement with Byrne Rental to encompass the Qatari market.
Jim Muldoon, GCC general manager of Algeco, said: “We have had a significantly successful first year working with Byrne in the UAE and due to this we took the decision to expand our operations to include Qatar. We have already seen interest in our products in Qatar and therefore it made strategic sense to have a permanent base there.”
The agreement will see Byrne provide rental support for Algeco’s 4000KD and Batex produces, two of the most flexible solutions in the market place at present. Manufactured to European standards, the products have become popular within the construction, education, military and oil and gas sectors, providing solutions for office space, accommodation and storage.
The new facility, located in Doha, has already had units delivered, with a team on the ground having undergone Algeco’s intensive training programme in recent weeks, a statement said.
Graeme Clack, Byrne CEO, said, 'Our experience with Algeco in the UAE has been excellent, consequently bringing their product to the Qatar market was a logical next step. There are no comparable products in Qatar in terms of quality or flexibility and we expect, with Algeco, to be able to provide first class building rental solutions to the Qatar market.'
The companies have further expansion planned for the upcoming year, already in discussion regarding several other GCC countries, according to the statement. – TradeArabia News Service
